The name, Giorgio Beverly Hills, was Fred Hayman’s idea. It was derived from Grant's first name and from the lavish Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Fred used to work as an event organiser for the rich and famous. Giorgio Beverly Hills was launched in 1961 by Fred Hayman and George Grant. It was the first luxury boutique on the corner of Dayton Way and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. Giorgio Beverly Hills (or Yellow as it was also called) was launched in 1981 and was diffused into the air conditioning in the store, astonishing women world and the perfume became a best seller.
This was also one of the very first perfumes which were advertised as a scent strip. It would sit on the back of women’s magazines and once you peeled the tape off you would be met with the powerful aroma vanilla, amber and patchouli. The Giorgio Beverly Hills Yellow perfume is quite potent and according to the legend it was banned in certain places in the 80's because of its sheer power! This old classic is available at Fragrance London for your indulgence at affordable prices.
